Wine

Wine production from grapes grown in Norway is a young industry. The Norwegian climate previously did not allow for the commercial-scale cultivation of wine grapes. However, a milder Norwegian climate, along with growing interest among Norwegian farmers, has changed this. Today, larger-scale wine production is underway, especially in Vestfold, Sogn, and Agder, with individual producers also found in other counties. These offer farm visits with walks in the vineyards and subsequent tastings. The wine must be purchased at Vinmonopolet, and more Norwegian wines will become available there, but as of today, only Egge gård with its sparkling ONE is available.
