Brokkestøylen - "The most scenic dining experience" in Southern Norway, LUXlife, 2024. The philosophy of Brokkestøylen is first and foremost to operate sustainably - at all levels. The concept is all nature from earth to table. Much is grown in their private kitchen garden according to ecological and natural principles. Wild plants and berries are forarged in the nearby forest by walking distance. Hunters deliver wild game from reindeer, elk and deer. Wild mountain trout is also on the menu in season. The menu is organic, local and “untravelled” and is based on the "Kitchen Goddess's" choice of the day and the availability of ingredients. Opening: You can book your seat 4 times a year at the seasonal gourmet dinners. In addition to this, accommodation and meals are mainly offered to pre-booked groups and various retreats/courses. Guests also make direct contact by email and are able to book both dinners and stays with a few days' notice. Brokkestøylen has 2 restaurants Støylen: Tasting menu. Social dining, original, intimate and historic, just as a small museum. Availability, up to 10 guests. The Glasshouse: Local tapas. Various wine and gin tastings as well as larger groups both private and business. Availability from 20 to 50 guests. Accommodation Pods and geodesic domes are produced from sustainable and reusable materials. They have installed water and flush toilets. Large, delicious double "grounded" beds with hypoallergenic beddings. 6 pods in total with 6 king size double beds (2 with separat beds put together) Retreats/courses The tipi, sauna and stamp are used for various types of courses such as yoga, "sound healing" and breathing with among others. Sertified yoga instructors, breathing- and Wim Hof instructurs. "Oxygen advantage" and other health-related events. Operating sustainably at all levels also means that Brokkestøylen has limited availability based on resources and fresh produce.
