The shop is an educational and practical learning arena for students at Stend upper secondary school, and is known for selling high quality products. Vellagra Fanaost from Ostegården, which won the World Cheese Championships in 2017, is one example. For Christmas, the greenhouses are full of poinsettias and Christmas cheer, while the shop can tempt you with chops of wild sheep and other Christmas delicacies. In the spring it sprouts in the field and the greenhouses are full of summer flowers, while the newborn lambs graze on the fields. In the autumn, the market square abounds with freshly harvested root vegetables and local seasonal Norwegian fruit.
