Smiegarden

Smiegarden cultural centre and guest house is located in centre of Undheim in the municipality Time. Undheim is also in the middle of the Norwegian poet Arne Garborg's kingdom in the area of Jæren. Smiegarden is close to great hiking trails, fishing possibilities and to other cultural institutions such as the mill Fotland Mølle, the museum Jærmuseet and the cultural centre Garborgsenteret, galleries and Arne Garborg's summer cottage Knudaheio as well as his home Garborgheimen. At 1000 meters above sea level in the area HøgJæren, you can enjoy the entire Jæren landscape. The forge Undheimsmia is a cultural heritage over a century old and has been kept just as the blacksmith left it 45 years ago. Smiegarden consists of the forge, the carpenter loft, the barn, the old Swiss cottage and the large Grandmother’s Garden.
