Klostergarden has its origins from Utstein Farm, surrounding the monastery Utstein Kloster, Norway's only preserved medieval monastery. On these historical grounds, the farmers produce meat from free range pigs, lambs and limousin cattle.

Utstein Farm has appr. 175 hectares, out of which 40 is cultivated land. We produce approximately 1600 slaughter pigs annually, including 10-30 free range pigs, beef from 15 suckler cows and lamb from around 700 winter-fed sheep. The latter production results in about 1000-1500 lamb annually, out of which about 700 lambs are sold. At Klostergården, we have long standing traditions for developing quality food, and we can promise safe and delicious food based on generations of knowledge. We have a farm shop next to the monastary. Here you will find both our own products and other locally sourced products from the region. Welcome to Utstein!
