The road sign is road sign symbol 650.40 for "Farm food/rural tourism". The sign is part of the Norwegian Road Administration's service sign scheme and is intended to give road users an indication that they will find an offer within farm food and rural tourism here.

The signage scheme will help to make the companies visible and guide travelers to the company.

Since 2005 has HANEN administered the road sign symbol for "Farm food/rural tourism". It is a public road sign symbol that highlights businesses with this type of offer.

Quality assurance of the sign scheme is important, and it is equally important that companies that have this sign have a commercial offer to road users. HANEN is responsible for approving that the quality of the offer the business has satisfies the requirements that are set and can be linked to HANENs value base. Companies that want the "Farm food/rural tourism" service sign must therefore first apply HANEN for approval. Please note that the Norwegian Public Roads Administration is responsible for the sign application itself.
If your application is rejected or you need assistance, you can contact HANEN and we can intervene in the matter and help you further.

You must not be a member of HANEN to get the service badge, but as a member you get a reduced administration cost in connection with the application.
