HANEN attends NTW every year

Strong presence for HANEN during NTW in Lofoten

This year's Norwegian Travel Workshop (NTW) in Lofoten was a very successful arena for us in HANENOur participation aimed to highlight our member companies and establish relationships that can provide concrete opportunities for collaboration and increased traffic in the future.

Through the workshop, we held meetings with a total of 23 incoming tour operators and tour operators. These are actors who either develop and sell trips to other operators, or who organize and sell trips directly to travelers. What they all have in common is that they are important door openers for international guests who want authentic experiences in Norway.

Targeted work towards relevant actors

To ensure the best possible benefit from participation, we prioritized actors who already offer – or want to develop – culinary experiences. This is particularly relevant for our members, who represent the real, local and tasty Norway.

As part of this work, we, like in previous years, brought with us the Rural Norway Manual catalog . This presents member companies that are ready to accept bookings from tour operators, and contains specific booking information that we actively used in the meetings.

Great interest in relevant segments

All the players we met work towards the FIT segment (Fully Independent Travellers). These are travelers who plan their own trip and actively seek unique and authentic experiences.

In addition, we see that several of the players also organize trips for smaller groups, as well as work towards the corporate market (incentive trips). These are segments that are very relevant to many of our members, and which provide good opportunities for further cooperation, especially for those who can offer flexible and tailored experiences.

Good knowledge of HANEN and our members

It is very positive that many of the actors already have a good knowledge of HANEN and several of our member companies. This provides a solid starting point for further dialogue and makes it easier to build relationships that can be developed into concrete collaborations.

The viewing tour in Nordland provided strong experiences

In connection with the workshop, we also arranged, with Lisbeth Seppola at the helm, a viewing trip in Nordland, where several of the participants were able to experience some of what our members offer. The feedback from this has been very good, and the trip has helped to give the players a clear and positive picture of the quality and diversity of the offer.

One of the highlights was the visit to Lofoten Gårdsysteri, where the participants had an unforgettable experience. This is a good example of how we work concretely to highlight our member companies and create a strong impression with potential partners.

The actors who participated in the viewing tour are now well aware of what these HANEN-the members represent, and several of them have expressed great interest afterwards.

Arranged for further follow-up

The next step is now the follow-up after the workshop. The members who were represented during the Norwegian Travel Workshop have gained good visibility and now have a solid starting point for making contact with relevant stakeholders.

We find that there is great interest in authentic and unique experiences, and several of the players we met are looking for precisely what many of our members offer. This provides good opportunities for further dialogue and development of cooperation in the future.

A good starting point for further work

The participation at NTW in Lofoten has given us a solid foundation for further work. We have met relevant stakeholders, experienced great interest in what our members offer, and strengthened the visibility of HANEN in an important international market.

This provides good opportunities going forward – both for new collaborations and increased value creation for you as members.
