Norwegian Travel Workshop (NTW) – how it works HANEN against tour operators
HANEN participates in the Norwegian Travel Workshop (NTW) every year to meet national and international tour operators. The goal is to promote members within local food, farm experiences and accommodation throughout Norway.
Through effective meetings and targeted follow-up, NTW contributes to more of HANENs members become visible in the professional tourism market.

Facts about NTW:
- B2B workshop for tourism
- Participants from all over the world

How did I HANEN using NTW
The HANEN NTW is an important part of the work to create visibility and sales for its members.
Every year we meet a large number of tour operators who are actively looking for new experiences in Norway. Here we present:
- Farm stays and unique accommodations
- Local food and drinks from Norwegian producers
- Activities and experiences close to nature and culture
The meetings provide insight into what the market is demanding. At the same time, we build relationships that can lead to concrete collaborations. We also have a Norway Rural Manual that members can buy a place in. This contains specific information tour operators need in order to book with this member.
From meeting to experience
In connection with NTW, separate pre- and post-tours are arranged, allowing tour operators to experience the offers in practice.
HANEN Every year, NTW invites around 10 selected tour operators to visit members in the region where NTW is held.
On the trip they will receive:
- meet the host
- taste local food
- experience activities and accommodation
This gives a deeper understanding of the quality and uniqueness of the members. Here you simply get buyers right into the living room and you can tell and show what you have to offer to potential guests.
Why pre- and post-trips work
Experiencing the products has a stronger effect than reading about them.
When tour operators gain first-hand knowledge of the offerings, it becomes easier to include them in their own programs, recommend them to customers and build long-term partnerships.
These trips are therefore an important part of the work to create value for members. Both those who provide accommodation but also those who offer activities and experiences or sell their own products.
An important investment for HANEN
Participation in NTW is a long-term investment in visibility and sales.
Through meetings and experiences, HANEN to:
- open new markets
- strengthen Norwegian tourism
- promote local food and unique experiences
This provides more guests for the members – and more people who get to experience authentic Norwegian food and travel.
