Gunnar Waagen
from Tingvolost
- HANEN is important to us because we need an organization that fronts small-scale producers externally. Especially HANENThe sign is important to make us visible along the roads.
Tone Ronning Vike
from 29/2 Aurland
– We are in HANEN because it gives us strength to be part of a family that offers unique rural gems and the taste of Norway, all around the country. We are a family of many hard-working enthusiasts who feel pride in what we do. HANEN also assisted us through the certification process as a Norwegian Ecotourism company, where we are 1 of 17 in the country. A narrow needle's eye. HANEN Toys don't support sustainability.
Marianne Stensgaard
from Billingen Seterpension
- The main reason we joined the HANEN, was to get help to become more visible. HANEN stands as a colorful eye-catcher on the roadside and gives a clear signal that it is well worth stopping by. We have had guests from both Norway and abroad who have found us at HANENs website and through the app. At first we thought we would only be open during the summer season, but traffic has exceeded all expectations. There are many people who want to experience the place and nature outside of the traditional season, so we now accept guests by reservation all year round.
Jane Larsen
from Spildegarden
– Spildegarden is a family-run farm in Hardanger that produces apple juice and cider, which they sell, mainly, to hotels and restaurants. They also offer tastings and guided tours of the farm, and have a farm shop where you can buy their products. - Membership in HANEN has been of great value to Spildegarden. The greatest value is the network we gain access to, and the community with others who are involved in farm tourism and small-scale production of food and drink. HANEN is an organization that speaks for us, that cheers us on, gives us access to good courses, is a sparring partner and a network we can contact when we have questions. HANEN administers a road sign scheme that can help us with visibility to the public if we wish. Competitions such as Norway's best apple juice, cider and fruit wine and the Cheese World Cup are organized HANEN to focus on the industry and communicate the quality of Norwegian products. This is very important for us as producers.
Anne-Lene Bjerketvedt
from Animal Farm
- HANEN is an important organization for gaining access to the market. We were particularly pleased with HANENs local food square at Smak 2017 where we gained 11 new customers. This fair is our most important sales arena where we meet both larger and smaller players who are interested in our products. The participation fee would have been too high if we had participated on our own, so we are grateful that HANEN organizes a joint stand for its local food producers where you can participate for a fraction of the price. The market of opportunities for local food producers.
John Karsten Hustveit
from Åkrafjordtunet
– We have already benefited greatly from being a member of HANENPerhaps the greatest joy is the increased traffic to our online store via HANEN their new, beautiful website. We also appreciated the offer of interesting courses and events we can participate in as a member.
Ole Martin Kildahl
from Bakken Øvre Farm Food
At Bakken Øvre they process their own raw materials, mainly beef and pork. They also run a catering business where, in addition to their own raw materials, they use raw materials from local food producers in the area. Ole Martin runs Bakken Øvre together with his wife Anita. 3 generations are involved in the company, and they employ a total of 12 full-time employees. Bakken Øvre has been a member of HANEN since 2012. Ole Martin and Anita think it is important that the industry stands together, and see that the industrial policy work HANEN is very important to them and the industry. In these special Corona times, they are especially happy about their HANEN-membership, where they, through HANEN, communicate their challenges to public authorities. Having an organization that works for us and speaks for us is incredibly important. Membership in HANEN is not just an investment in your own business, but an investment in the future of the entire industry.
