Tromsø Outdoor has been operating guided tours and rental of hiking equipment, based at Lauklines Kystferie, on Kvaløya, since 2006. In 2011, we opened a sales and rental center centrally located in the city center.
The center is now located at Fredrik Langesgate 14 and is open year-round. Here you can purchase guided tours, as well as rent bicycles, tents, sleeping bags, food preparation equipment, mountain skis, cross-country skis, snowshoes, tobogganing, clothing, shoes and much more.
Tours:
In the summer and autumn we recommend a 3-hour tour on an electric bike in Tromsø, where you will see the highlights of the city as well as some hidden gems. We also have island hopping by bike Tromsø-Lofoten, hiking tours, mountain tours etc. Throughout the winter we have several daily departures with ski and snowshoe tours, both on Tromsøya and in the area around Tromsø.
Rental and activity center:
We have a rental and activity center in the center of Tromsø. At our centers you can rent what you need for an active holiday on your own, as well as book guided tours and experiences. Cycling and hiking activities are our specialty in the summer. We have hybrid bicycles, electric bicycles, mountain bikes, road bikes, electric fat bikes, and tandem bicycles for rental as well as cargo and child trailers, bags, tents, kitchen equipment, burners, backpacks, clothing, footwear, skis, snowshoes, and more. Types of skis include skis, skate skis, mountain skis, and randonee skis, in addition to Splittboard. You can pick up and deliver equipment here during our opening hours, and otherwise by appointment. We also deliver and collect equipment elsewhere on request. For example, at your hotel, Hurtigruten or the airport. Bicycles can be sent and returned at all Hurtigruten ports of call from Bergen to Kirkenes.
We also sell hiking equipment and consumer goods for outdoor enthusiasts, at Fredrik Langesgate 14. We also sell used equipment after the season has ended.
The main center is located in the center of Tromsø, very centrally located at Fredrik Langesgate 14, between the Radisson Blu Hotel and Storgata (Pedestrian Street).
