At the farm Strupstad in Tingvoll, there is a tradition of growing fruit on the steep slopes down towards the fjord. Here, Silje grows many of the good, old apple varieties from the time her great-grandfather was a fruit farmer on the farm. The apples that grow here are processed into apple cider and non-alcoholic products, and you can buy the products in the farm outlet in the yard.
To get the best taste, there is a focus on sustainable fruit production, without the use of unnecessary pesticides. Together with a slow ripening in the long, bright summer nights we have in Nordmøre, it results in apples with a good and clean taste.
