At Strand Farm you can stay overnight in the cottage, rent safe boats for fjord fishing and buy local food in the farm shop. Here you can go for walks in the forest, get close contact with farm animals and wild animals, and otherwise have a lovely starting point for visiting other natural gems on Averøy.
At Strand Farm, your heart rate can slow down and the children can play freely. With views of the fjord and mountains, you will find peace here at Strand. In the farm shop, you can buy local products such as eggs, honey and lamb, seasonal vegetables and fresh baked goods.
The cottage has 8 beds, and it is a short walk down to the floating pier to try your luck at fishing. It is also possible to rent boats for a fishing trip on the fjord. In the yard you can get close contact with the farm animals: chickens, ducks, sheep and ponies. A short walk up into the forest and you might come across both squirrels and deer.
From here it is a short distance to easy mountain hikes with great views, a stone's throw away from the Kvernes Stave Church and the Pilgrim's Trail, and other excursions to rock carvings or kayaking around islets on the Atlantic Road.
