The cider farm is located in the middle of Stjørdalen, which is a 55 km long valley.
There, the Stjørdal River flows down towards the sea, making the valley lush, green and fertile.
The cider farm is located 40 meters above sea level, with fruit rows down towards the Stjørdals River, where English lords and dukes once fished for salmon.
Here we produce organic fruit and berries for the best drinks. The entire production and farm is built around and on biodiversity.
The farm ponds with birds and wildlife are an important part of our whole.
In recent years, Sidergården has been awarded Norway's best apple juice, Norway's best mead and Norway's best fruit wine in Norwegian drinks/Hanens annual competition
The main goal is untraveled food and drink with Trøndelag's best ingredients produced in harmony with nature. This is achieved through proven quality of our fruit production. Playing in partnership with nature is best.
Welcome to us at Sidergården. Apples and pears are the mainstay of our production. We have 70 varieties of apples and pears in varying quantities. We mix different types of cider apples, table apples, cider apples, bitter and sweet until we get the perfect balance. As we operate organically, we use fresh apple varieties that are strong against diseases.
It provides a nice balance for production and good products.
So here you get to experience clean production with lots of flavors.
We offer cider and fruit wine tasting along with our own small dishes made from 100% local and locally sourced ingredients.
We can accommodate groups of up to 50 people. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
There is also a permanent sales exhibition of famous Norwegian visual artists with a main emphasis on Trøndelag artists.
During the summer months we have a number of activities and Flora Antikk og gjenbruk is open every weekend all year round and every day during the summer months. Here you will find antiques and treasures.
We have courses on various topics around organic fruit growing where we discuss our experience after 40 years with soil, fruit and berries, and especially organic production methods in apples.
We have garden walks in the summer months in the farm's gardens with 3 interconnected ponds.
The farm has salmon fishing rentals with a 700-meter long line in the Stjørdal River where we offer accommodation for 4 people.
The cider farm has a municipal serving, serving and production license and a state production license.
We also have chokeberry, which we press into raw juice and ready-to-drink juice. Raspberries, elderberries, rhubarb and pears can also be found with us, depending on the season. We operate organically and spend a lot of time in our fruit and berry garden. Everything is carefully picked by hand so that we know that the ingredients are of the highest quality.
In addition to this, we have bees, we need help with pollination. Good flower honey is the result of this. In the fall, the bees are on the coast and collect heather honey. We won silver in the NM 2022 Heather Honey.
Our outlet is connected to our antique and second-hand shop. Here we have a small café section that you can sit inside. In the summer season we serve simple homemade pastries, coffee and juice. But when the weather is nice, our surroundings are great for sitting outside.
Much of our energy needs throughout the year are covered by solar energy.
We are also a member of Nortrip with 3 places and are a regular at Rekoringen Trondheim.
According to our visitors, it is perfectly fine to spend several hours here. Welcome to sustainable trade
