Sandalen farm fruit and cider - Vistnes Randaberg
Fruit farm at Vistnes in Randaberg municipality. At the farm you can buy apples, plums, gooseberries, juice, jelly and alcoholic cider. Everything is grown and produced on the farm.
Sandalen farm is Randaberg's first fruit farm. The farm converted its operations from animal husbandry and grass production to modern dense plantings of fruit in 2011. In 2020, the farm received an alcohol production license and in 2021 a sales license. In the farm outlet, we sell apples, plums, juice, jelly and cider.
The farm differs slightly from a standard fruit farm in that, in addition to the usual apple varieties Discovery, Rød Aroma and Rubinstep, they grow unusual apple varieties such as Santana, Wellant, Asfari, Rosette, Freya, Rubinola, Tohoku 2, Elrosa, Sommeseth redstreak, Julka, Ellis bitter and Katja. These are used to make juices and ciders with new flavors.
