Welcome to us at Sakrisgarden! Spring in Linge is something all its own – when the fruit blossoms are at their most beautiful, the entire village is enveloped in a white and pink bloom like fragrant clouds between fjord and mountains. It's as if nature itself promises a rich harvest.
Autumn is just as wonderful, although it is a hectic time for us who grow fruit. The garden is filled with colors and fruit, and the branches offer apples and plums that sparkle in the sunlight. For those who come by, this is one of the most wonderful times of the year – being able to buy fresh fruit straight from the farm sale, while you feel the fresh scent of autumn in the air. All this happens here in the fruit village of Linge, the northernmost place in Europe with climatic conditions for commercial fruit growing.
At Sakrisgarden, beautifully situated in the inner fjord regions of Sunnmøre, fruit has been grown for at least five generations. Here, knowledge, craftsmanship and passion have been passed down – and it is noticeable in both the fruit and the taste.
We invest heavily in fruit growing and processing, and in our garden, cherries, plums and apples ripen. From the apples we make our own apple juice – pressed from the fresh, seasonal apples hand-picked from the farm. Never any waste fruit – just pure, sun-ripened apples pressed into a fresh and full-bodied drink, with no additives. Because it tastes the best.
When you visit us, you get to experience seasonal produce in the middle of a living fruit paradise on Linge. We have set out tables and benches in the yard, so you can sit down, enjoy the taste of fresh fruit and at the same time take in the fantastic view of the fjord. It is an experience that is both calming and inspiring – whether you come to shop, taste or just feel the atmosphere.
