Hilde and Joar Hauge are our names and we run Ryfylke Farm Sisterhood and are based in Fister in Ryfylke. Here we have dairy cows and free-range chickens. In 2020 we built a cheese factory next door to the barn, where we produce cheese and yogurt from milk from our own cows. The open barn has good visibility to both cows and calves, which guests find fun to see and pet. We also have a small farm shop with our own products and some other local food.

Rabben is a semi-hard white cheese made from unpasteurized cow's milk . Rabben means a round-shaped lump and is the name of the cheese itself, named after the place where the barn and cheese factory are located. Pøyg, Trave and Trave vellagra are additional names that describe the storage time.

In the farm shop you can buy our own products such as cheese, yogurt and eggs. In addition, we have some other local products such as apple juice, dried apples, honey, jam, granola, crispbread and flatbread. The selection of products may vary slightly from season to season.

Pøyg won super gold in the 2021 Norwegian Cheese Championship

Ryfylkeyoghurt won silver in the 2021 Norwegian Cheese Championships and reached the final of The Norwegian Meal 2021.

In the 2023 World Cheese Championships, we won a gold medal for Trave and a silver medal for Ryfylkeosten.
