Røkenes Gård is located right by the sea 6 km from Harstad city center in an area with long agricultural traditions, the current hosts are the 10th generation on the farm. Røkenes Gård Restaurant and Guesthouse, is open all year round for individuals and groups. We provide the best service, our kitchen prepares the tastiest food and our restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The ingredients used in the kitchen come from farmers and fishermen. The farm also grows a lot of its own produce and happily harvests from the nature around the farm.
The food philosophy is based on a classic style, with tradition and the ingredients that surround us as a starting point.

The main house is available on request for groups of up to 40 guests. The barn, which in former times was a storage place for the farm's food such as grain, flour, meat, fish and the arena for the large bakes of flatbread, lefse etc., has now been restored for accommodation purposes. The barn was built in 1897 and was floated up from the Namdal area. The farm operated with milk production here until 1987. Today the entire barn is used for banquet rooms and a restaurant with space for exhibitions of art and crafts. The capacity is up to 180 guests at a party, while the restaurant has about 50 seats. The Africa Room, in what was once a silo, is now used as a meeting room and banquet room.

Trade with yachting and innkeeping, fishing and agriculture with livestock were important economic activities from the 1500th century until the end of the 1800th century. The oldest traces of agricultural culture date back about 2000 years. When the farm received its royal wine and brandy license in 1777, it was precisely because the location was convenient for travelers, and the farm was able to accommodate both bailiffs and magistrates when the Thing was held here. The main house was listed in 1942. It is characterized by a beautiful Rococo portal carved in wood by a traveling woodcarver named Kreutzer. The house was probably built around 1750. The family history goes back to 1673. .

Welcome to the farm.
