Parken Gård Husky is a family business with dog sledding as a passion and lifestyle. We have 40 happy sled dogs that are trained for long-distance competitions and who are happy to take guests on trips. Parken Gård is also a living farm with dairy production, and we are happy to convey the northern Norwegian farm culture and give you a taste of our life here in the Arctic nature.
We take guests on dog sledding adventures here in our local area between Arctic mountains and fjords. You may get the strongest experience if you drive your own dog sled, but you can also experience the dog sledding trip as a passenger on the sled of an experienced dog sledder.
Our dogs are social and happy and when we go on a trip we let them loose together before we saddle up and get ready for the trip. There will always be an introduction on how to drive a sled and it is always with an experienced guide. You can choose between a short trip that gives a little taste of our passion, here you will get an insight into the world of dog driving and we always serve a cup of something hot and a homemade cake in the dog yard after the trip. If you choose a slightly longer trip you will probably start to feel the mastery of handling a dog team, and on that trip we will stop for lunch along the way. We serve traditional Norwegian food with homemade bread, and preferably a taste of our homemade cheese made from our milk.
