Vacation plans? We have horses just waiting to join you on a mountain trip. In the summer we have riding trips in the mountains. We have half-day trips, full-day trips and overnight trips. All trips are guided by adult, experienced horse guides with knowledge of the local mountain area. In the winter we do trail riding down on the farm, we have riding lessons and we also do sleigh rides.

Øien Øvre is a farm located in Heidal, near Jotunheimen and Rondane.

We offer horse activities all year round. Contact us and we will tailor a program for you.

In the summer we offer riding activities at Høgsetra in Heidal. We have half-day trips, full-day trips and overnight trips. The trips are in easy mountain terrain with views of both Rondane and Jotunheimen. We have simple accommodation at the setra for those who want to join the overnight trips.

From September to June we run a small riding school where we teach "Integrated Riding". This is a riding style that emphasizes good communication between horse and rider. We also arrange weekend riding courses.

During the Christmas party season, we collaborate with local hotels and restaurants to organize sleigh rides in connection with their Christmas parties. We also take on smaller assignments at home on the farm.
