In 2017, Hege and Stig-Jarle Dekkerhus and their three children packed their bags and moved from Tromsø to Senja to fulfill their dream.
We have visited the island a lot over the past 24 years together. Stig's mother is from Senjahopen in the north of Senja, and through her and the family who live here, we have grown to love the people, the culture and the magnificent nature.
They saw the potential in this forgotten and neglected campsite located in Tranøybotn on southern Senja, right by the sea and the gateway to Ånderdalen National Park, and bought the place. The dream is to create unforgettable experiences from the most amazing place on earth, Senja, Norway in miniature and a fairy tale island with its many contrasts.
On May 1, 2017, Norwegian Wild was born and the wild adventure began!

Norwegian Wild believes that nature is a happy place for great experiences. Nature, the sea, our community and the spirit of adventure are what define Norwegian Wild. Therefore, we believe it is important to operate according to the values ​​of responsible tourism and giving back.

We donate 10% of the profits from our activities to our local community.
