Our first SognaCider, GJEST, is produced at Norane Fruktgård. In addition to cider production, we have for many years produced and bottled various varieties of juice under the name 1184 Sognamost. We still do so.
Our first cider, GJEST, was launched in the summer of 2022. It is a semi-sweet, fruity and sparkling apple cider sold in cans. Alcohol content: 4,7% ABV.
More ciders are in development and will be launched as soon as we have the flavor profile we want. The next cider will be bottled in 75 cl bottles and will have a higher alcohol content. Details to come!
As mentioned, we also make juice. The 1184 Sognamost series consists of various varieties, mainly based on local ingredients from Sogn. Starting from the juice from apples, pears, raspberries, blackcurrants, blueberries and other types of berries, we mix this into tasty and refreshing juice varieties.
The name 1184 Sognamost draws its inspiration from the famous naval battle that took place out in the fjord on June 5, 1184, probably just a stone's throw from our beach. Both Sverre Sigurdsson and Magnus Erlingsson fought for the throne. Sverre emerged victorious in what is known as the Battle of Fimreite.

An application for a sales license has been submitted to the municipality and we expect that it will soon be possible to buy our ciders from the farm on certain days and times. We of course have the juice products and these can be purchased at the farm or sent as a Norwegian package to wherever you wish.
