In the far north of the fruit village in Eastern Telemark lies NeRø Sideri. With a view of Gaustatoppen, the fruit trees can be reflected in Heddalsvannet and enjoy the sunshine from all directions. Here we grow organic apples and morels. From the apples we make apple juice and cider - all organic. Here you can get a tour and storytelling combined with cider tasting (by appointment). The farm sale is open Monday - Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Nedre Røste farm is located in Hjuksebø, 10 km south of Notodden city centre. We operate organic apple production and conventional morel production on a total of 65 acres. Unlike many other fruit growers, we cannot boast of a long tradition of fruit growing since we planted the first trees in 2016. But it looks like we have done something right, because the trees thrive very well here with us on the sunny slope down towards Heddalsvannet. We focus on quality and expertise in all stages of production, which results in top-class products. Maybe the trees also thrive especially well here since they get to enjoy the same beautiful view as we do?

Heddalsvannet is part of the Telemark Canal, so you can get here by sea if you want. Hjuksebø is located between the coast and the high mountains and the area is particularly rich in experiences whether you want to get out into nature, experience the Rjukan-Notodden World Heritage Site or other cultural offerings.

We are focusing more on cider production in the coming years and have therefore planted our own apple varieties especially for cider. Our cider is made at low temperatures, which both challenges and develops the aromas in a very unique way. We have an uncompromising goal that all products we deliver should provide a good experience – always. Of course, we also have lovely organic apple juice for sale. This is made from the same varieties as the cider – all grown here on the farm. You can also have the apple juice served at local restaurants in the area. We sell cherries and apples in season from about 10 July to the end of October. We welcome groups for cider tasting by appointment. Our farm sale is open every day except Sunday all year round from 10:00-18:00.
