Welcome to a visitor farm with many animals, a pizzeria, farm shop, café, gallery and accommodation a short ferry ride from Stord or Tysnes.
Short trip – Rural – Exotic
At the entrance to the Hardangerfjord is the island of Huglo, where you will find Myrvold Farm.
We operate small-scale production of agricultural products on the island of Huglo in Sunnhordland.
In the farm shop, you can taste and buy dairy products that are locally processed from milk from our old Norwegian cuirassiers.
Our ice cream is very popular, with fresh milk from Telemark - Døla and Vestland fjord cattle and eggs from free-range hens, giving it a quality you'd have to search a long time to find.
At the weekend there are always freshly baked temptations.
We serve pizza inspired by Naples, with herbs, tomatoes, cured ham and several types of cheese produced on the farm.
You can quench your thirst with drinks made from malt and hops or red and white grapes.
Before and after dinner you can wander around the yard and meet colorful exotic birds, most of which can talk, and if you are interested in turtles, reptiles or hairy tarantulas, we have that too.
It is possible to stay overnight in our glamping tents which are located slightly above the yard with views of several neighboring municipalities, or in a house on the farm where we have 3 rooms, one family room with 4 beds and 2 rooms with 2 beds in each room.
For booking, send us a request by email, or give us a call.
Unfortunately, it is not permitted to bring your own animals.
We serve breakfast to our guests and if you want to explore the island, we lend out bicycles.
If you want, you can join in the animal care, cows and goats need to be milked, pigs and chickens need to be fed and it is not uncommon for sheep and horses to have to be moved to new pastures.
Cheese, sour cream, butter, lefser ice cream, juice, jams and jellies. Tea and spices, egg natural products, sheepskin, gifts such as visual art, ceramics, and much more can be found in the farm shop.
