Lofoten Aktiv offers sustainable activities for individual travelers and small groups in Lofoten's unique nature; both in the mountains, in the fields and at sea, all year round. Our locally known guides with our site-specific hiking equipment can give you the most memorable experiences in Lofoten.

Lofoten Aktiv was started under the name Janns Adventure Lofoten in 1984. The company is owned and operated by Jann Engstad, who also hires local tour leaders and guides when needed. Good experiences and your safety are our most important goals.

Jann has extensive experience with activities, tour production and facilitation for individuals and groups with unique expertise in environmentally friendly outdoor activities. Jann is an instructor and has been active in several activities and sports, including: Norwegian Red Cross, sea kayaking, swimming, volleyball, disabled sports, Telemark (skiing), field hockey and cross-country skiing.

Good experiences and your safety are our most important goals for our local approved tour leaders and guides. We are happy to make a suggestion for what you can do together with our guides; from short day trips to longer overnight trips with itinerary, activities and places with atmosphere for accommodation.

Our knowledge and love of Lofoten and its diverse nature makes it easier for us to do our best to help you realize your dreams, goals and wishes. We have a good network of contacts throughout Norway through being a member of Norwegian Ecotourism and through this we can show you other operators that we can safely recommend once you have tried what we have to offer you and your company.
