Lega is a cheese factory and bakery with a café and retail outlet in Rauland in Vinje municipality. Here you can get Lega's products and other local food producers. Lega is located right next to nice hiking and skiing areas in the city center. Come by for a pizza and coffee in our café!

Ever since Gro started as a goat farmer in 1989, his dream has been to produce his own cheese. In the spring of 2009, the cheese house was completed on the Raundalen farm. The first cheese was produced here. Gro took various courses and visited farmers both at home and abroad to learn how to produce quality cheese. In the summer of 2010, a cheese house was also built on the Nedre Lega hill. More cheeses gradually came into production. The light, mild brown cheese and the rich white goat cheese have received several awards over the years.

Gradually, bakery products were made, including kling, whey bread made with whey from the cheese production, and pizza bases fried on a griddle that was braised.

In 2022, production has doubled and moved to new production facilities in Rauland in Vinje municipality. Welcome!
