Pop-up farm restaurant with locally sourced ingredients from local food producers and our own farm. Tours of the farm are available. During the summer months we are open all weekend for outdoor dining. From April 2025 we will have accommodation in Birdbox.

Langelandsvik farm is located near Otertong in Vindafjord Municipality. Here you can visit Restaurant Caprae which is our farm restaurant. This is run as a pop-up restaurant where you can book a table for the whole evening throughout the year with a 7-course dinner made from products from the farm. We hire different chefs throughout the year. Follow our events. The chefs are dedicated and young with a great interest in "fine dining". During the summer months it will be possible to visit us and be served lunch and dinner on the pier or in the tent, along with good drinks. Opening hours will be posted on our website www.caprae.no and the Facebook page of Langelandsvik Gard. There is also the opportunity to tour the farm and meet goats, small Dexter cows, Vestlandsk Fjordfe and chickens on the way. The restaurant has all the rights to serve drinks, both inside and outside on the pier. Our wine menu has been prepared in collaboration with sommeliers from Park Hotel in Voss.

On the farm we have about 100 winter-fed suckler goats of the Kashmir breed, 18 suckler cows of the Dexter breed and 6 suckler cows of the Vestlandsk Fjordfe. Eggs from free-range hens.. We emphasize grass-fed animal husbandry, and use less than 5% supplementary feed for the animals. The animals graze on local vegetation that largely resembles coastal heathland.

We also place emphasis on being environmentally friendly. That's why we produce our own electricity using about 500 square meters of solar cells that provide at least 70-80 MWh throughout the year. We produce herbs for the restaurant in an indoor Vertical Farm.

On www.caprae.no You can book tables for the pop-up evenings throughout the year. We offer 5 weekends in the spring and 5 weekends in the fall.

Accommodation in a birdbox: We have a box with space for two people. Private rooms with toilet and shower for the Birdbox in the restaurant building. If you come with a camper, you are welcome to park with us for a small fee. Electricity included.
