Welcome to Jelsa Hotel!
Jelsa Hotell is idyllically located in the best-preserved beach town in Ryfylke. With panoramic views of the fjord and the beautiful wooden church from 1647 as its closest neighbor.
The hotel opened in spring 2022, and is equipped with double rooms, twin rooms, junior suites and universal rooms. In our restaurant you can enjoy local specialties from neighboring farms and the region in general, while getting a fantastic view of the fjord and the beach town.
Our conference room easily accommodates 30 people and has all the facilities.
The area offers a variety of great activities on land and on the water. Here you can explore beautiful hiking trails, cultural trails, rent kayaks, take a guided paddle trip in Økstrafjorden and visit orchards. Be sure to visit Rogaland's only vineyard, at Hebnes. We also recommend taking a stroll in the cozy environment of small houses in the North Sea.
Jelsa Hotell is beautifully located in the center of Jelsa. Jelsa is an idyllic village with approximately 270 permanent residents, and is located in the southernmost part of Suldal municipality.
The hotel is open all year round for accommodation with breakfast.
The restaurant is open for booked groups (10 people or more) all year round.
We have 22 double rooms, most of which have a balcony or outdoor space adjacent to the room.
The hotel also has a well-equipped, self-service kitchen at the disposal of overnight guests.
Distance to fastboat pier (fast boat to Stavanger) is 800m

All our rooms are designed to give you a break from everyday life. You will find a shower, TV and good beds in all our rooms.

Universal room: The hotel has 3 Universal rooms. These are wheelchair accessible. You will find a shower, TV and good beds in all our rooms.
Course/conference room: We have 2 meeting rooms, one for about 30 people and one for about 20 people.
Restaurant:
In our restaurant you can experience local specialties from neighboring farms and the region in general, while enjoying a fantastic view of the fjord and the beach town of Jelsa. The restaurant has room for 64 guests.
On nice days you can enjoy food, drinks and a fantastic view from our balcony.
Activities:
There are great marked hiking trails, beaches and fishing opportunities. Frisbee golf course, sand volleyball and soccer field at the school area about 15 minutes walk from the hotel.
Jelsa also has a lovely church from 1647 and a school museum from 1774 to which the hotel can organize guided tours.
There are also opportunities to visit Fuglestein fruit farm, where you can buy local food from several producers at the farm shop.
We also recommend a visit to Hebnes Vineyard. Here you can sign up for wine tasting during the summer season.
In Jelsa you will find several marked hiking trails, both short, long, steep and easy. In 2022 we got a new day trip cabin. It is accessible to everyone, both with strollers and wheelchairs.
The hotel / Ryfylkemuseet offers an "audio guide" for a cultural tour with "Jelsapresten". Alternatively, you can book your own guide to Jelsa Church, the School Museum and Strandstaden, for larger groups.
