At the foot of Okstindan in Hemnes Municipality you will find Inderdalen Farm, a treasure trove of a mountain farm from the 1600th century.
In the middle of the yard surrounded by beautiful flower meadows, we offer accommodation in a small log house. Inside you can relax in a good bed and enjoy the peace and quiet in homely surroundings, like in an old grandmother's home. Here you also get the experience of being in magnificent nature, you can either follow the marked trail or just take a stroll around the farm. In Inderdalen you get close to nature, the peace, the farm's cultural heritage and traditions.
The farm, which is now owned by the 8th generation since the 1700th century, has received a lot of attention. True to tradition, the mountain people have always been welcome, old paths have been cleared and re-marked. The farm is cared for with love and diligence and appears very complete and authentic, and it often attracts admiration and curiosity.
In 2019, Inderdalen Farm received the Nordland Cultural Landscape Award, awarded by the State Administrator. We received the award for our commitment to preserving and communicating the history of the old mountain farm and the cultural landscape it is a part of.
ACCOMMODATION IN THE GUESTHOUSE
We rent out an old house "Gjestehuset". This house has been recently restored to its original condition and considerable time and resources have been invested in creating a contemporary image.
Here you can enjoy modern comfort with electricity and running water (cold water). Toilet and shower in a separate service building.
On the first floor you will find a cozy but simple kitchenette with a hotplate and refrigerator, the living room also has a sofa and armchairs for relaxation and rest.
On the second floor there are 4 made-up beds, a very good double bed and two authentic beds with good comfort. The hallway on the second floor offers activities whether you like to do puzzles, read or knit.
SERVICE BUILDING
If you are staying overnight at Inderdalen Farm or you are just a simple mountain tourist who wants a shower/toilet visit, there is a service building here that is available to everyone who wants it. The service building has two shower and toilet rooms, one of which has a universal design. If you are an overnight guest at Inderdalen Farm, you can use your own bathroom in the Service Building.
