Hallingdal Lokalmatsenter

Hallingdal Lokalmatsenter is an EFTA approved cutting and further processing facility for meat and game. We butcher and vacuum pack meat from both livestock and deer.

EFTA approval means that strict requirements are imposed on production, systems and sampling,

Cattle, sheep, pigs and goats are slaughtered at approved slaughterhouses before they come here for cutting and further processing. We sell most cuts of cattle, lamb, goat, deer and elk. There will of course be variation during the year.

Game is naturally killed and gutted outside, and then comes straight into our game reception. Here it is skinned and hung to tenderize. The Norwegian Food Safety Authority comes to check and approve all game that comes into the facility.

Tenderizing is something we are very concerned about, and with the game coming directly to us, we can start the tenderizing process optimally. All carcasses that come in are hung on the keel for tenderizing.

We also have a lot of rental shearing for various customers. This applies to livestock such as cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, and game.

We produce, among other things, burgers, sausages, tapas buns, pulled lamb, fried prime rib, roast elk, aquavit-marinated elk and kombucha. We also make various casseroles on request.

All meat from livestock can be traced back to the producer. Lamb meat is produced on our own property.

Here we arrange cutting courses and courses in the production of sausages and cold cuts. Upon request.

The cut-off from butchering is mostly used as feed for active dogs (dog racing).

We also have a banquet room where we offer menus for various groups/parties. The room has all rights.
