Welcome to Grubbestad Farm
We are located at the top of Raet in Sandefjord, where we operate a vineyard with around 6000 vines and our exciting new product, haskapbær. We produce sparkling wine using the traditional method, made from carefully selected grapes.
We also offer wine tastings by appointment, where you can experience both the history, the craftsmanship and the flavors from the farm.
Welcome to Grubbestad Gård, a vineyard beautifully established on Raet in Vestfold. This moraine ridge, formed around 12,000 years ago when the ice retreated, provides a unique soil that leaves its mark on our wines. Nearby is Sandefjord with its charming city center and historical sites with roots dating back to the Viking Age.
In 2018 and 2019, we planted 6000 vines on sandy soils that slope down towards the Sandefjord fjord. When autumn comes, we harvest the grapes by hand – together with good friends and family – before they are taken to the winery.
What was once the farm's milk room has now been converted into a small winery. Here we produce sparkling wine using the traditional method, where secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle, giving our wines elegant and fine bubbles.
We invite you to wine tastings by appointment, with a tour both outside among the vines and inside the winery, followed by a tasting of our own wines. In 2023, the old barn was upgraded to an atmospheric venue with space for around 40 guests. Here we arrange wine tastings, lectures and offer meeting facilities for smaller groups.
In 2022, we were named Winegrowers of the Year, and our sparkling wine made from Solaris grapes received the award for Best Wine of the Year at the Norwegian Wine Show.
On a separate small field, we also grow 500 haskap bushes. Haskap is a blue berry with a taste reminiscent of a mixture of raspberry and blackcurrant. Although the berry is still new in Norway, it has long traditions in Japan, where it is poetically called "the little gift at the end of the branch."
Welcome to Grubbestad Gård – for a taste of bubbles and berries.
