At the farm Gjeldokk in Ål in Hallingdal you will find a horse center, Angus beef cattle and all our other animals! Here there are opportunities for riding experiences in the mountains and teaching in various branches of horsemanship. Periodically we also have sales of products from our Angus, which in the summer months can be seen on mountain pastures under Reineskarvet. We offer accommodation in the stables on the farm and several of our stables.
Gjeldokk is a family farm that has been in the family for many generations. There have been different operations here throughout the years. Today you will mainly find Angus and horses on the farm. We also have some small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and llamas. Our llama Ola also likes to join us on walks in the forest. The horses on the farm come in all sizes from small ponies under 1m to large driving horses over 170cm. Of the Norwegian horse breeds, you will find several Døla horses and Nordland horses among our horses. These are solid, kind and safe horses that like to go on walks. Døla horses are fine riding and driving horses. But for weddings and parties, it is usually the black Oldenburgers that get to walk in front of the carriage. We drive weddings throughout Norway, and other commissioned driving on request.
