Galten Gård is one of the oldest tourist resorts in the region. The resort has always been a family business, and has operated with a combination of tourism and dairy production. Today, the Galten Gård tourist resort is run by the 5th generation, Gjertud E. Eggen and her husband Per Roar Aarnes.
Galten Gård is located 200 meters from Galtsjøen, and very close to the Femundselva River.
The three mighty peaks of Sølenfjellet are a beautiful sight from here.
The farm has older buildings, with modern facilities and can offer accommodation in comfortable cabins and apartments, as well as in rooms in the main building. Our fly fishing lodge and great pride, Smithseter, is a unique and historic accommodation that should be experienced!
The menu features locally sourced food. Homemade specialties with ingredients from the local area.
Meals are served regularly from June 15th to September 15th and during Easter week.
