With the Atlantic Ocean on one side and beautiful hiking terrain on the other, Flø Holiday Center with 8 high-standard cottages is located right on the ocean's edge, 10 m from a beautiful sandy beach. Boat w/motor included in the price. Flø is a 40-minute drive from the bird and treasure island of Runde, 50 minutes from Ålesund and 2,5 hours from Geiranger.
Flø Holiday Centre is located right out in the open sea with the shipping lane just outside. The cottages are only 30 meters from the seashore, a beautiful sandy beach. The cottages are approx. 60 sq m with 2 bedrooms, shower, toilet, stove, kitchen, TV and storage room with freezer + boat.
Flø was previously a village where fishing and agriculture were the livelihood of most people, often in combination. And the sea outside Flø is rich in many kinds of fish. Saithe, cod, monkfish, catfish, haddock, redfish, mackerel, dogfish, ling, halibut, salmon, flounder and many more. We have boats with motors at the holiday center. A boat is included in the cabin price, gasoline must be paid according to consumption. In addition, we have some boats for rent.
The nature on Flø invites you to many and varied activities. You can take your backpack with you and go for a walk up the mountain. After about 10 minutes of walking you can start on one of the many ascents to our mountains. There are maps of the different routes in all the cabins. If you are in doubt about what to choose, just ask. There are both demanding and easy routes. Once up on the mountain there are several fishing lakes with room for camping. In the autumn it is possible to pick berries. Blueberries, lingonberries, mullet and crickets. Flø IL also has orientation posts on the peaks. From the same peaks there is a view of the Sunnmøre Alps on one side and on the other, the islets and the sea beyond.
