At Fjordfegarden you can buy meat from free-range, 100% grass-fed cattle of the Norwegian native breed Vestlandsk Fjordfe.
Fjordfegarden is located on Gausland near Nærbø, run by Ingve Berntsen and Frida Bostrøm. We have chosen to focus on the original cattle breed of western Norway, which is a small, light and slow-growing breed, perfectly suited to the Norwegian grazing landscape. The meat from Fjordfe has become known for its fine-fibered structure (tenderness) and fat marbling. There are so few Fjordfe left that the breed is classified by the UN as endangered.
