Wake up in a luxurious lavvo to the chirping of birds and the roar of the waterfall! Do you want a different holiday experience? Or a different setting for a party or corporate event? We also have a great party room, which can accommodate 18-20 people. -Tovdalselva and Digeelva, with beautiful waterfalls and rapids and with the possibility of salmon fishing, surround the camp and meet in Flakksvann. Camp Flakksvann is both sheltered for itself and at the same time centrally located near the town of Birkeland. We have a small grocery store, where you can buy delicious local food, including award-winning cheeses.
The lavvos are a full 33 square meters, and are of a high standard. Here a lovely, made-up double bed awaits you, and the bathrobes are hanging ready. On cool mornings or evenings you can enjoy the warmth of the fireplace from the cozy seating area in the lavvo. At the same time, you can look at the view of Flakksvann from inside the lavvo. There is electricity in all the lavvos, and you will find a coffee machine and kettle/tea in each lavvo. At the front of each lavvo you can also enjoy nature from the seating area on the terrace. Each of the lavvos has its own bathroom in the service building nearby.
The common area includes a service building with a shared kitchen, which meets the standard of a commercial kitchen. Here you can cook your own food, which you can enjoy either in peace and quiet in your own lavvo, at the long table outside the wooden lavvo or together with others in the Flåderhytta. The kitchen is well equipped with a stove, pots, dishwasher, kitchen utensils, waffle iron, coffee maker, kettle, crockery, serving plates and bowls, glasses and cutlery. There are also common basic items such as sugar, salt, pepper, coffee and tea. The kitchen also has a large refrigerator where you can store food on your own shelf. In addition to the kitchen, there are three bathrooms in the service building. One of these is wheelchair accessible.
Here at Camp Flakksvann you can actively enjoy nature on beautiful hiking trails in Flakkeheia, or on a paddle trip on Flakksvann and the Tovdalselva. If you prefer peace and quiet, you can enjoy fantastic views of Flakksvann from the wood-fired hot tub, or from your own terrace by the lavvo.
Do you want a special setting to organize a birthday, family reunion, friends' party, company event or similar? We can offer a unique party room in Flåderhytta, where you can sit at a solid long table and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace, surrounded by the history of timber floating in the area in former times. We collaborate with local food producers and can provide local ingredients for grilling, breakfast - and something sweet for coffee.
