Our Highland Gin -SKOG- was awarded a silver medal in the London Spirits Competition 2025. The distillery, Norstill, is located next to Støylen where you can have a tour and tasting. There are few distilleries that are located 600 meters above sea level and use spring water, which gives the product an extra "finish".

Our lovely sauna and tipi where we have various courses in breathing techniques, sound healing, yoga and mental training. The river is often used for cold swimming.

This is the Arneberg Suite. One of our luxurious accommodation domains. This bed was made by one of Norway's foremost architects, Arnstein Arneberg. He made it for himself and his wife in the 1920s. His grandson donated it to us when we saved the villa he had designed on Dvergsøya in Kristiansand from decay. It has of course stayed with us and guests can hear more about the fascinating story here with us.

In the tipi we have groups of up to 10-12 people. Here you can challenge yourself with different breathing techniques, crystal frequencies. Check your pulse before and after yoga and mindfulness guidance.

Grow with the kvitstakken, which is the underlay of the famous Setesdals bunad. This, the music, kveding and playing, is also part of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage that we are so proud to belong to. The stack is made of thick wool and so is the black pen-stack that is worn on top. The kvitstakken was used for everyday purposes, for example during milking, scythe-cutting, harvesting, baking and other activities.

After a comprehensive and uncompromising restoration, we begin 2026 as our first full year of operation. Brokkestøylen is created for those who want an approach to nature, the genuine, the quiet and the extraordinary.

In Norway's smallest seasonal restaurant, you can book with us from May to October.
In 2026 we will open on May 23rd when the road over Suleskard opens.

The ingredients are sourced from our regenerative garden, collected in nature and we collaborate with selected local producers and serve game from the forest and heath. We strive for sustainability at every level. Each serving is a story about the landscape, the season and the craftsmanship.

The stay is complemented by accommodation in exclusive domes/pods – a sophisticated glamping experience where reuse, comfort and untouched nature merge.

We also process seasonal wild plants into award-winning vinegars, pre- and probiotic health products and our signature gin, Highland Gin -SKOG-
The products are distributed through our own online store, a few selected specialty stores and Vinmonopolet.

Our concept is designed for adults and unfortunately we are unable to accommodate your four-legged best friend, as we farm the entire area and our large Maine Coon cat is the boss.
