Brasserie Posten is located in the old post office in Geiranger. Brasserie Posten opened in 2012 by Kenneth Løken and Malin Merok. Malin is the granddaughter of Petter Merok (Post Petter), who ran the post office in Geiranger. He was also an avid photographer, who made postcards from the pictures he took in Geiranger and the Geirangerfjord. We cook from scratch and prefer to use the local and good suppliers and producers that are found around us. We also have a big focus on Norwegian craft beer, and at any given time have around 120 different types from around 20 Norwegian breweries.
Brasserie Posten currently has its main season from April 1 to November 1. In addition, we are open on weekends and have various theme evenings. We currently have 2 full-time employees and aim to be able to extend the season even further. We only use Norwegian raw materials and have a close and good network with the local suppliers and producers around us. Norwegian craft beer is also very important to us and you will always find a large selection of good Norwegian beer. We often have theme evenings such as beermakers dinner, Christmas party, finger food buffet, etc. We also take on events outside the Brasserie such as weddings, confirmations and parties.
