Bortistu Guest House. Where the road ends - and everything begins!

Since the late 1800th century, we have welcomed guests who have sought recreation and good food with us. Today, we are proud bearers of a 130-year-old tradition of warm hospitality, and continue to welcome old and new guests to Bortistu Gjestegard.

The history of Bortistu began as early as 1648 when the mountain farm was established deep in Storlidalen in Trollheimen. Today we offer a traditional setting for courses and conferences, weddings, parties and cabin rentals. Always with the opportunity to enjoy our award-winning, home-produced local food.

We cater for groups of between 10-70 people, but for weddings and larger parties we can accommodate approx. 100 guests. We go to great lengths to ensure that you as a guest feel at home with us – whether you visit us for nature experiences or attend a strategy meeting. Or why not both?
