Bjunegårdsdrift is located centrally in Eastern Norway, about 10 km north of Tønsberg city. We produce pigs, cattle, grain and seeds. As part of our production, we have pigs in the forest. The meat from the forest pigs and cattle is taken back from an approved slaughterhouse and sold from the farm, as well as at markets and Reko rings. We also have a small flock of quail, from which we sell eggs.
Our focus is on promoting Norwegian-produced local food and good animal welfare.

The pig on the farm is of the Hampshire breed, which is a breed with a lot of intramuscular fat, which produces juicy and tasty meat.

The cattle breed is the Belted Galloway, a slow-growing breed with good marbling, which produces tender and flavorful meat. It is a type of meat that is not common in Norwegian stores.

This is some of what you will find with us:

  • Farm sale (Pork and beef products, Eggs, Coffee, Honey, BBQ, Products made of wood)
  • Farm visit (Meet our animals)
  • Farming (by season)
  • Farmer for a Day (aimed at children)
  • The green school
  • Into the Yard

We have a strong focus on animal welfare through our welfare program. As part of this, our bull calves are castrated so that they can graze with the herd at all times. The cattle are only fed grass, as well as some mash decoction from beer brewing. In addition to concentrate feed, the wild boar is fed on recycled bread and vegetables.

All production animals can be seen and met on the farm. We want our pigs to live as naturally as possible. Here at our farm you can meet the pigs in their natural element outside.

We also have several types of small animals that we have at the Open Farm, Christmas markets and that we take with us on visits to kindergartens, etc. We also welcome visitors here at the farm.
