Baldervoll fruit and vineyard is idyllically located by the Sognefjord in Leikanger in Sogndal, surrounded by fjords, mountains and orchards. Here you can taste our sparkling wine made from local grapes, and take a tour of the orchards and vineyards.

Leif Inge Husabø and Iselin Kjelsaas live here with two small children. Together with Roar Vangsnes, we run a small-scale production of wine, cider and apple juice based on our own grapes and apples. At Baldervoll we have planted 2400 grape plants, in addition to apple, pear, plum and apricot.

In 2024, we won the award for Norway's best sparkling wine. We have the most grapes of the Solaris variety, but we also experiment with classic varieties such as Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, in addition to red grapes such as Dornfelder, Regent, and Leon Millot to produce rosé and red wine.

Leikanger has long been used for fruit growing, and the area has long historical roots. Nearby is Balderssteinen – Norway’s largest standing stone. The name Baldervoll refers to the fact that a standing stone used to stand on an embankment on the property. That stone has still not been found.

We welcome visits by appointment, with guided tours. in the orchard and vineyard and production premises, as well as tasting of their own products. Here you can get to know the raw materials, the landscape and the work behind the products – in what is the world's northernmost commercial wine district.

We have a pleasant patio with a view of the fjord, and the possibility of dining both indoors and outdoors. The farm is in the process of obtaining organic certification. We value quality highly, and experiment and learn as we go.
