Sæbø is located right above Hjelmelandsvågen – the municipal center of Hjelmeland municipality – with a great view of the Hjelmelandsfjord.

Fruit production has been taking place here since the late 1800th century, and around the farmyard there are rows of Gravenstein, Raud Aroma, Rubinstep, Discovery and Raud Elstar. There is also room for a few plum trees.

From the new year 2020, Dan Olav Sæbø took over the farm at his home in Sæbø. After 13 years as a carpenter in Stavanger, it was time to try something new. In addition to fruit and apple juice production, which his parents had been involved in for several years, Dan Olav was highly motivated to to strengthen the food base with apple cider production.

Silver pages was ready for sale already in February 2020, and this cider was voted the world's best sparkling cider in the prestigious competition Cider World 2020.
