Almgard has accommodation options in a cozy old schoolhouse and on a
Small farm nearby with a view of Brekkefossen. In addition, Almgard offers a newer apartment in the farmyard. The horses are very willing to ride with you in the beautiful Feios landscape.
Alm Gard is run by Guus Morel and Laurien Geerse, who moved from the Netherlands in 2004.
At Alm Gard we produce organic ice cream and gouda cheese etc. We use our own fruit and berries as much as possible and we pick the cloudberries and blueberries in the mountains. There are no longer cows on the farm and Almgard collaborates with Vange Gard in Vik who supplies organic milk. There are 12 beehives on the farm for our own honey production.
The farm sells all kinds of farm products, including ice cream, yogurt, jam, juice, cheese, honey, bread, gift packages, etc. Products can be purchased in a small farm café.
It is possible to observe the production of ice cream and cheese while enjoying a cup of iced coffee in the café. Guests can also enjoy the horses or take a look in the cheese cellar where the cheese matures.
Guus and Laurien are happy to tell you about everything that happens on the farm and show you around.
