Klostergarden has its origins in the Utstein Farm, the closest neighbour to the monastery Utstein Kloster, Norway's only preserved medieval monastery. On these historical grounds, some of the most tasteful and tenderest lamb in the country is produced.

Utstein farm has 150 hectares, out of which 34 are cultivated land. We produce approximately 1500 slaughter pigs annually, including 10-30 pigs that spend all their time outside, beef from 15 suckler cows and lamb from around 700 winter-fed sheep. The latter production results in about 1200-1500 lamb annually, out of which about 700 lambs are sold. At Klostergården, we have long standing traditions for developing quality food, and we can promise safe and delicious food based on generations of knowledge. We have a farm store at Utstein Kloster. Here you will find both our own products and other locally sourced products from the area. Welcome to our farm!
