Bårdshaug Herregård was the home of the founder and travelerer Christian Thams. He bought the estate in 1890, and rebuilt it into many different styles. Today, Bårdshaug offers accommodation in both modern and historical rooms, as well as a restaurant, and meeting and conference facilities.

We offer guided tours around the estate, and a local menu in our restaurant.

We have many years of experience with different events, and there are many activities to choose from. One can visit the Orkla Industry Museum and Thamshavnbanen - Norway's first electrical train which transported both people and goods. You can even og for a mine safari in the old mines of Løkken Verk. We aslo offer great salmon fishing in the river Orkla.

Welcome to Bårdshaug!
