The special ambience of the collection of old farm buildings around a courtyard in an area of cultivated countryside nestling among high mountains, all combined with a high standard of comfort and style, makes Store Ringheim Hotell and Restaurant a very special place. Farmers have been working on the land of Store Ringheim for more than 2000 years and the arm has been in the family since 1778. Now the farm has been converted from a traditional Norwegian west coast farm into a unique hotel and restaurant. Store Ringheim is a small boutque hotel with 15 unique and comfortable rooms situated in "Gardshuset", the old farm house and "Reiskapshuset", the old tool shed. All the food served in the restaurant is prepared from scratch, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. We look forward to welcoming you for a memorable stay at Store Ringheim.

Boutique hotel, Gardshuset

In the old farmhouse from 1860 we have 6 historic and unique hotel rooms. Gardshuset is carefully restored and the rooms are comfortable with all the amenties expected to find in a modern hotel. We consider it to be far too unpersonal to have numbers on the doors – so we gave them names reflecting the previous use of the rooms. “Eldhuset” is our most special room and situated in the oldest part of the house from the 17th century. This historic room is an open-heart house with smoky walls, ornamental painted bed and a slate fire place – very romantic and Norwegian.

Boutique hotel, Reiskapshuset

This house was orginally the old tool shed where we now have 9 modern and comfortable hotel rooms with a good size, all beautifully decorated as the rest of the hotel. With us, you should feel at home, that’s why the rooms in Reiskapshuset have all been named after the surrounding mountains here in Voss.

Apartments

As a supplement to our boutique hotel, we now have 5 apartments for rent through Store Ringheim Apartment. Villa Hjadlane with 2 apartments is located just below/over the yards from Store Ringheim, and Villa Solberg with 3 apartments in Lundarvegen by the city centre.

Restaurant Flor'n, with a taste of Voss

In our a la carte restaurant in the old barn, we offer you down-to-earth and rustic meals, made from the best of local produce. The menu, which changes frequently, reflects the range of fantastic local raw material and vary with the seasons.

Restaurant Flor’n is open Wednesday to Saturday all year round, and every day in the summer season. Table reservation. For group more than 10 people we keep open at other times with booking at least 2 days in advance.

Local food & farm food

Sustainable food, from the fields to the table. We still produce some ourselves at the farm, the rest we get as much as possible locally from producers who deliver a good quality. We like ourselves out in the nature - and we collect the herbs, mushrooms and berries that we use in our food.

We also make some farm food based on old traditional recipes and with our own twist. What is left over and not used in the restaurants, we sell through our small farm shop. So at times it is possible to buy some of our tasty farm products you get served for breakfast or in the restaurant.

At Store Ringheim you come into a differet world, old houses with soul, rustic timber walls, fine and unique details, modern comfort and a special atmosphere. Here we have the perfect place for you whether it is to celebrate various life events, have gatherings, hold meetings or events such as courses & conferences. We have rooms in different sizes to offer; Smalaflor'n, Restaurant Flor'n, Tømmerstovo and the terracce house out on the patio.
