Derinngarden farm is beautifully located at the top of Halåsen in Eide, with wonderful views. Organic milk production in our newly built dairy. Delicious cheeses and other produce on sale in our shop. Upstairs restaurant ideal for groups. Tenting possible in the farmyard.
Derinngarden have been in the same family since 1927, when Asbjørns grandparents migrated southwards from Loen and Stryn to settle here. The farm is an old one, with the first ownership dating from the 1600’s. Milk production forms the basis of the farms revenue, and a large amount of the milk produced is made into cheese on the farm. We stock an array of our own products, as well as other local products in our inviting farm shop.
Our specialities are beautiful white soft cheeses, wax matures cheese, marinated cheeses, cream cheese and yoghurt. We have a comfortable and cozy dining hall on the second floor above the dairy, which is perfect for seminars or serving lunch for groups.
We also have a summer café, meeting and festivity venue, and overnight tenting in the yard. The farm is organic.
