Straumbotn Gård ales cattles and wild sheeps. Wild sheep grazing high in the mountains in summer and provides wonderful flavors of the meat. Visit us nearby the Arctic Circle town, Mo i Rana. The farm is located at BlåVëgen you will be welcome!

Inger- Anne and Geir Håkon bought the farm in 1999. The farm has been in operation since before the 1650s . It has traditionally been fueled milk and meat production. By meat we have cattle and sheep . Wild sheep grazing high up in the mountains in summer. Straumbotn Gårdsmeieri In 2005, a private dairy farm . Built again and moved into a new dairy in 2007. In 2011, we became Farmhouse-ice-manufacturers. The ice is based on own milk and use local eggs, and local berries when available . In the dairy building , there is a cafe / shop where there also are 20 seats . We take on smaller events and serving local food. StraumsbotnStua The living we offer accommodation . A Nordlandshus anno 1750 . The house has five bedrooms with 10 beds . The house is equipped for self-catering where you can cook your own food or can book meals in dairy cafe. The farm's location is between the fjord and mountains. Fjord named Straumen, this is because the entrance to the bay is a tidal stream where water from the Rana fjord , saltwater pressed into the Stream (a small Saltstraumen ) . Here are some wonderful fishing opportunities and opportunities for outdoor recreation. The fjord has a lot of fresh water and parts freezes in the winter ( Straumbotn ) . In Straumen are good opportunities for hiking . We have Wild sheep grazing in the mountains above the farm that we visit regularly throughout the summer. Guests have the opportunity to be part of such trips . It is a difficult terrain , but we are fine routes that provide great experiences . The reward is to see wild sheep in their element , amazing animals in the wild.
