Østre Kjærnes farm is located by Vansjø in Våler municipality in Viken (Østfold). The farm is managed and owned by Erik and Linda Tegneby who bought and settled on the farm in 2003 with their two children, Signe and Herman. In the last two years, they have invested heavily in alpaca farming on the farm. The alpacas and the proximity to Vansjø with its beautiful nature are of great importance to everything that is offered on the farm.

Erik and Linda's vision of a sustainable and economically viable farm is that the farming industry and its ancillary industry should contribute to safeguarding nature, the environment, culture and traditions. Offers on the farm Østre Kjærnes gård receives visits for accommodation, parties, courses and conferences, they rent out canoes and do alpaca experiences. The rest of the farm consists of forest, grain and grass. The family has a great interest in animals, nature, hunting and outdoor life. Erik is genuinely interested in moose hunting with his two moose dogs. Linda has her workplace on the farm and most of the time she is an "In the yard" farmer and offers tasks and activities to the participants. The hosts Linda and Erik take good care of the guests and do their best to offer unique, good and nature-friendly experiences.
