Kartveit Gjestetun

Kartveit Gjestetun is a free standing property at a height with a view over seven municipality in Vestlandet. It is possible to drive right up to the door, and the Nordsjø bicycle course is just 100 meters from the house. The house and the area around it, was part of a western Norwegian building tradition called "klyngetun", or house cluster, until the end of the 19th century. The farm where Gjestetunet is situated, has been in the same family for more than 250 years. Restoration of the house in 2009 resulted in a nice combination of modern facilities, woven together with old log walls. The house has three bedrooms with sleeping places for up to 9 persons and two bathrooms. In addition one of the drawing rooms can be used for accommodation. The facilities are self contained - the kitchen is modern and well equipped with dinnerware, dishwasher etc. there are even some of the most normal kinds of spices there for use by guests. Maybe you wish to go fishing in our boat, or enjoy life in the bubble bath while the dishwasher and washing machine takes care of the dishes and dirty clothes. This is the place, where the past meets the future!
