The BASCIL project – Discover local food, shared routes and stories
HANEN has participated in the international project BASCILAn important outcome of BASCIL is the development of joint food and drink routes and regional gastronomic experiences, where local producers collaborate to offer composite tourism products.
The BASCIL project has brought together partners from eight countries to support local food producers in their efforts to develop sustainable food tourism.
An important outcome of BASCIL is the establishment of joint culinary routes and regional food experiences, where local producers collaborate to create holistic tourism products. The routes promote regional food culture while strengthening cooperation and visibility in the Baltic Sea region.
Through the project, the partners have produced films and developed digital platforms that showcase the pilot regions, local businesses and the new food and drink routes. Marketing films and digital platforms have been used as tools to promote local food experiences and attract visitors. At the same time, they show how collaboration and innovation can help make rural areas attractive destinations for foodies.
